About Christopher
I have spent the last decade and a half living and working in San Francisco. The Bay Area continues to shape the tone and rhythm of my photography. Its shifting light, quiet edges, and unpredictable moods have become an essential part of how I see. I never trained formally in photography, but I have learned through too many others to consider myself self‑taught.
I am interested in making images that speak to the emotional temperature of a moment—how it feels to stand in a space rather than what the space objectively contains. I am less concerned with description and more with atmosphere, with the subtle qualities that settle in when a place becomes still enough for its tension to surface. Minimalism sits at the center of my practice, not as a stylistic choice but as a way to make room for quiet shifts in mood.
My photographs explore the thin boundary between calmness and something more uncertain. I want viewers to feel that edge, to sense both the comfort and the unease that can exist at the same time, and to linger in that ambiguity long enough for the image to change as they look.
